Cvstos is delighted to present a new timepiece, the Challenge Sea-Liner, which continues the success of the renowned Tourbillon-s Yachting Club Challenger model created by this prestigious Swiss watchmaker.
Enter a world inspired by the refined art of yachting, distinguished by a breezy Mediterranean spirit, seen in a glamorous lifestyle on the open waves; where sailing and cruises to paradise islands and lost archipelagos, or dazzling ports such as Porto Cervo, Porto Fino, Monaco, St.Tropez, Nice and Cannes, is par for the course.
Thus, the Challenge Sea-Liner was sculpted in this same chic-yet-sporty spirit, and the timepiece hails the birth of a new aesthetic standard; an even more active allure, which lends this model an incomparable air of elegance and effortless style.
It is in this way that the Challenge Sea-Liner was conceived: inheriting the aesthetic and technical codes of its sister model, the famed Tourbillon-s Yachting Club, yet distinguished by the creativity and innovation that is synonymous with this brand. Cvstos upholds its design objectives by injecting its new model with a characteristic mix of elegance and sportiness, married together like never before.
The transparent sapphire glass dial, together with the open case, provides superb visibility onto the spectacular, intricate mechanics of the openwork watch movement. On the sides of the case, four porthole-style apertures invite the viewer to gaze into the heart of the watch and discover the magnificently arranged components of the movement. Seen with remarkable and unexpected perspectives, the aesthetics of this mechanism are directly inspired by nautical motifs.
The resulting elegant allure is thanks to the latest solutions and technologies carried out under the Brand's earlier Jet-Liner project. In this way, over 60 individual components of the Cvstos CVS 350 movement within the Challenge Sea-Liner have been entirely personalised and redesigned with an openwork motif. So as to not compromise the sturdiness of the mechanics, a reinforced bridge was crafted within the movement: this latter component is superbly refined and characterised by teak marquetry .
Designed with performance in mind, the exclusive Challenge Sea-Liner Automatic calibre embodies the quest for coherence that has reigned at the Maison since its creation in 2005. Boasting unrivalled technicity, this automatic movement offers a power reserve of 42 hours, guaranteed by an oscillating weight comprising a pairing of technical materials that includes grade 5 titanium and Thungsten88®.
This structure, specific to the Cvstos Maison, comprises two parts (a portion of the weight in tungsten + arm weight in Titanium) and is designed to eliminate any vibration caused by imbalanced weight distribution. This Cvstos configuration guarantees better rotation acceleration, i.e. an optimised winding mechanism.
Crafted in 5N gold, steel or blue PVD treated steel, the tonneau-shaped case displays splendid volumes and purity of line. The distinctive construction of the timepiece underscores the aesthetic differentiation of Cvstos, enabling the brand to stand out within the refined and exclusive world of Haute Horlogerie.
Water-resistant to 100 metres, the Challenge Sea-Liner comes with a rubber strap in blue or white, which closes with a folding clasp and double push-piece. Other combinations are also available, including refined coloured leathers in alligator skin, lined with Alcantara®; for purists, a more classical configuration is available.
