Antiquorum Auctioneers is actively preparing for its fall auction that will take place on October 16 at its‘ US headquarters on Madison Avenue in New York City. Timepieces from important brands such as Patek Philippe, Rolex, and A. Lange & Söhne as well as a Longines that was owned by Albert Einstein will be included in this exciting sale, of which a significant amount will be offered at no reserve. Collectors and enthusiasts will be able to preview these exquisite timepieces in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
  • The highlight of the sale is a Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 first series. Made in 1956.  This is an exceptional and extremely rare yellow gold wristwatch with square button chronograph, 30-minute register, perpetual calendar, moon phases and special tachometer.

  • For the Einstein fan, we have a Longines that was owned by the scientist himself.  It is a unique and historically important wristwatch, made in 1930.The watch was presented to Professor Albert Einstein on February 16, 1931 in  Los Angeles. It is a fine, tonneau-shaped, 14K yellow gold wristwatch accompanied by various photos showing Prof. Einstein wearing the watch.

  •  The Patek Philippe collector will also want to bid on Ref. 3939, movement n o. 1. It is a very fine and very rare, minute-repeating 18K yellow gold wristwatch with one-minute tourbillon regulator and enamel dial.

Furthermore, Antiquorum experts will be offering a Patek Philippe 10 Days Tourbillon , retailed by Tiffany & Co., Ref. 5101P. Sold on January 29, 2008. This timepiece is an extremely fine and very rare, rectangular and curved, Art Deco-style platinum wristwatch with one-minute tourbillon regulator, and tandem mainspring barrels for 10-Day power reserve.

It is an extremely fine, rare and unusual, astronomic, self-winding, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with mean time indication, nocturnal sky chart of the Northern Hemisphere, moon phases and moon orbit, time of the meridian passage of Sirius and moon.
