Jenniver Aniston, Bryce Dallas Howard and writer Carol Leifer made their directorial debuts with Glamour Reel Moments

WHAT: Glamour magazine's 'Reel Moments' presented by Cartier and produced by Moxie Pictures, premiered October 16, 2006 at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles. Reel Moments is a series of short films written and directed by women in Hollywood to benefit FilmAid International, an organization that uses the power of film to promote health, strengthen communities and enrich the lives of women around the world.

The project gives women who are usually in front of the camera a chance to get behind the lens while telling real-life stories of love in all its myriad forms. The films which premiered:

• Blinders, directed by Carol Leifer, staring Jamie-Lynn Sigler as Alexa who thinks she's looking for love in the big city. With a nudge from a girlfriend, Alexa realizes she needs to be more open to the romantic cues around her. So while riding the subway, Alexa dives headfirst with surprising and amusing results.

• Orchids, directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, stars Katherine Waterston and Alfred Molina. An amateur photographer (Waterston) and a wealthy middle-aged eccentric (Molina) struggle to overcome their fears and insecurities and begin an unlikely romance.

• Room 10, co-directed by Jennifer Aniston and friend Andrea Buchanan, stars Robin Wright Penn and Kris Kristofferson. Frannie (Penn) is a veteran nurse with a hardened heart and crumbling marriage. It's a typical night in the ER until an unexpected relationship with a patient challenges her to rethink her decisions and choices in life.

As the presenter of Glamour Reel Moments, Cartier's new Love collection jewelry can be seen in the films which also focus on love as a central theme. Following the Los Angeles premiere the film series will screen in 9 other major cities including Costa Mesa, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Houston and Boston.
