Et une marque de plus dans la collection des « montres de l'espace », déjà riche d'une bonne douzaine de références. Cette fois, c'est une maison horlogère américaine pas très connue en Europe, Yes, plutôt inattendue avec son affichage (électronique, par LCD) non seulement de l'heure (digitale), mais aussi des mouvements du soleil et de la lune (représentations analogiques et graphiques), avec des indications sur les solstices et les équinoxes, ainsi qu'une programmation de la date, du jour et des lunaisons jusqu'en 2099. Sans parler de la programmation de l'heure locale dans 600 villes de la planète, en tenant de l'heure d'été et de la situation locale jour-nuit. Quelques autres subtilités cosmo-planétaires sont également disponibles.

Bref, une vraie montre d'astronome, ou du moins d'astronaute, que le « commander » Stephen Frick s'est fait un plaisir de porter pour mener à bien sa dernière mission à bord de la navette Atlantis (image officielle de la NASA). A son poignet, une Yes, modèle Inca en titane (48 mm), étanche à 100 m, à mouvement suisse, programmes « astronomiques » américains, module électronique japonais, verre saphir allemand et montage final chinois. La marque Yes est pour sa part californienne et dirigée par un « Viking », Bjorn Kartomten, qui s'affirme très sensible aux considérations chamaniques pour ce qui concerne les influences astrales sur la vie quotidiennes des hommes.
Bref, une marque et des montres à la fois très « célestes » et très enracinées…
