Today, celebrating more than 250 years at the pinnacle of the Watchmaking Excellence, Vacheron Constantin exhibited in India a collection of its rarest timepieces at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, from December 11 to 19, 2006. Using only the noblest of metals (gold and platinum), the exhibition included watches from Vacheron Constantin's heritage collection, including the first known pocket-watch created in 1755 by the founder of the manufacture Jean-Marc Vacheron, as well as high complications, and high jewelry watches. The exhibition was linked to an exclusive Vacheron Constantin evening being held at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai on December 11, 2006, which saw VIP's from the highest Indian society being welcomed by Mr. Juan Carlos Torres, CEO of Vacheron Constantin, Mr. Marc Guten, International Director of Vacheron Constantin, Mr. Hugues de Pins, Regional Director Vacheron Constantin for Middle East and India, and Devaunshi &. Anoop Mehta, the Ambassadors of Vacheron Constantin in India. There was also a fashion tableau to showcase the exquisite range of jewellery watches, rare timepieces as well as Vacheron Constantin?s new collections. Clothes by Surily Goel. Leading models Niketan Madhok, Dipanita Sharma , Fleur Zavier, Vidisha Pavate, showed the Vacheron constantin timepieces dressed in creations by Surily with Deepika Padukone as showstopper.
