On Tuesday 31st October, a press-conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of RAYMOND WEIL was held at Calvados, one of Moscow's most fashionable and prestigious restaurants. During the press-conference and as the highlight of this, Mr. Olivier Bernheim, President and CEO of RAYMOND WEIL, presented the exclusive SHINE Limited Edition timepiece, epitome of this glamorous event, to some Russian journalists.

SHINE Limited Edition

Stemming from the famous SHINE collection, entirely devoted to women, the SHINE Limited Edition displays 100 diamonds of the highest quality and purity, in honour of the Brand's 30 years of history. Its case, with more ample proportions than its predecessor, is bursting with sensuality from its 18 carat pink gold. Set with 56 full cut diamonds, it houses a delicate dial in natural white mother-of-pearl, on which four Arabic numerals sit flamboyantly in 18 carat pink gold, with a very modern and stylized design, set with 43 diamonds. The crown is itself embellished with a full cut diamond.

To make this timekeeper more exceptional, this little watch jewel has been produced in a limited edition. Each piece is minutely numbered from 1/99 to 99/99 and bears the signature of Mr Raymond Weil, the Brand's founder. Three pieces of this unique model will be delivered to Russia, testifying to the growing importance of the Russian market to RAYMOND WEIL Genève.

The press-conference was followed by an exciting lottery. Three guests received the latest models of SHINE Arabic Numerals and PARSIFAL Rectangular. The evening continued with a delicious dinner and a wonderful concert by the famous Italian singer Beppe Summo.

The Liepa ballet dynasty: like RAYMOND WEIL Genève, a family history too

The 30th anniversary of RAYMOND WEIL Genève coincided with what would have been the 70th anniversary of the successful ballet dancer Maris Liepa (1936-1989). The gala-concert dedicated to this great event was held at the Kremlin Concert Hall on Tuesday evening with some of the world's best ballet dancers. Andris, the son of Maris Liepa, and himself a renowned ballet dancer, directed the performance, while his sister, Ilze Liepa, prima ballerina, enchanted the privileged guests with the grace and strength of her interpretation.

It was the perfect example of the continuity of generations, which is so close to the philosophy of RAYMOND WEIL, being one of the few remaining independent Swiss watch companies to have retained its family heritage. Since 1976, three generations have succeeded each other and are working side by side with the same passion, each person adding his stone to the company edifice to ensure the continuity, independence and future of the Brand.

During the official event after the gala-concert, the charming, fascinating and particularly gifted prima ballerina, Ilze Liepa, was given a timepiece from the SHINE collection by Mr. Olivier Bernheim. This charismatic and adaptable jewel, with its diamond-studded Arabic numerals and its steel bracelet or satin strap, is a perfect match for the talent and beauty of the ballerina and her versatile concert repertoire.
