8 November 2006 / Bellini Room, St James Power Station / 7:00pm
Glamorous ladies and timepiece lovers found a reason to SHINE with the recent launch of RAYMOND WEIL's stunning collection of ladies watches on 8 November 2006. Mr Olivier Bernheim, President and CEO of RAYMOND WEIL and Mr Tan Soo Khoon, Managing Director of Crystal Time, its sole distributor in Singapore, hosted over 320 guests in a star-studded private event to celebrate the glamorous collection that commemorates RAYMOND WEIL's 30th Anniversary.

The event was staged at the Bellini Room of the newly-revamped St James Power Station, a piece of architectural gem in Singapore's history, conserved as a national monument. The Bellini Room opened its doors to the public for the first time that evening for RAYMOND WEIL guests. Centred on the theme of SHINE, guests were greeted at an unusual reception area – a darkened stairwell with a sparkling mirror ball, before given lit sparklers to help light up their way to the party!
The jazzy swing club was unveiled for the first time to a distinguished guests list which included famous personalities and many more movers and shakers of high society. The event also saw an A-list attendance of the glamour set including Andrea Fonseka, Ms Malaysia/Universe 2004, an up & coming TV personality/model. Adding glitter to the party were celebrities Phyllis Quek, Jeanette Aw, Lisa Ang, Vivien Tan and Jaymee Ong. The emcee of the evening was Eunice Olsen, the multi-talented TV host/model/singer and Miss Singapore Universe 2000. She is also a known advocate for charity volunteerism and youngest nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore.

Mr Olivier Bernheim, President and CEO of RAYMOND WEIL, started the evening's proceedings with a welcome address after an introduction by Mr Tan Soo Khoon. Emcee Eunice Olsen was invited back onstage to receive a SHINE watch, presented to her by both, making her the first in Singapore to own a timepiece from the dazzling collection. Combining strength, beauty and grace with accomplishments, Eunice Olsen embodies the spirit of the SHINE collection.
In a light-up finale, the pink gold, limited edition SHINE was unveiled with finesse to a packed room of thrilled guests. Statuesque models dressed in shimmery silver and gold mingled among the crowd, presenting the diamond-embellished SHINE collection for up-close viewing.

The evening proceeded with rare performances by some of the famous guests of Mr Tan Soo Khoon, Ms Noor Quek and Felinda Wong, adding on an element of surprise and cosiness to the soiree. The party ended late on a high note to the jazz tunes of the Bellini Room Big Band. Guests departed with a sparkling souvenir of the evening - signature RAYMOND WEIL initial pendants on a leather cord, a reminder of a sparkling night of revelry, glamour and prestige – the launch of SHINE!
