L'ancien magasin de machines à coudre Monanges est devenu un écrin raffiné pour les montres Péquignet fabriquées à Morteau. Explications par le Président de cette prestigieuse marque. Il manque encore les prix dans la vitrine et quelques détails. La petite boutique, où Edwige Duboz accueillera les clients, sera officiellement ouverte mardi 1er juillet. En lieu et place du magasin Monanges, se sont installées les montres Péquignet et leurs lignes de bijoux assortis. Fabriquées à Morteau, ces montres ont actuellement une reconnaissance internationale pour leur beauté et leur technicité. Les clients sont Américains, Japonais, Russes ou vivant au Moyen-Orient. Alors pourquoi Besançon ? Nous l'avons demandé à Didier Leibundgut, Président de Péquignet (ci-dessous) :
“Besançon entretient un mythe extraordinaire de ville horlogère. Elle a une horloge astronomique, un musée, différents laboratoires mondialement connus, 300 ans d'histoire horlogère, mais actuellement rien de vivant. Je suis franc-comtois. J'aime beaucoup Besançon qui est une cité pleine de charme. Pour moi, Péquignet à Besançon permet de redonner un prolongement à cette histoire horlogère, une repousse à ses racines”, estime-t-il.Plus qu'une simple boutique où sont présentées les dernières collections hommes et femmes (à partir de 850 euros), cette nouvelle adresse de la rue Moncey se veut l'écrin de la marque, son magasin pilote. “Contrairement aux grands groupes internationaux, nous “relocalisons” le luxe. Notre entreprise horlogère est artisanale, familiale, ancrée en Franche-Comté, à proximité de sa clientèle. Nous voulons permettre aux Bisontins d'avoir plus facilement accès à la beauté de nos montres qui leur permettent de s'inscrire dans un processus d'appartenance puisqu'elles sont fabriquées dans le Doubs. Mais ce magasin sera aussi le lieu d'événements pour nos distributeurs étrangers. Chaque année, nous allons organiser une Péquignet Cup au golf de la Chevillotte et les faire venir à Besançon”. La première est annoncée pour septembre.
