Numerous world records were shattered in today's auction and many more were established. Amongst them a world record for any stainless steel watch ever sold at auction (lot 223) which fetched SFr. 2,513,000/$ 2,263,964 and for any A.Lange & Söhne, IWC and Movado just to name a few.
The 10 hours auction was continuously supported by over 100 bidders in the room, 100 logged on to Christie's Live, over 200 telephone bidders and 400 absentee bids which were entrusted to Christie's before the auction.
